This isn’t a campaign.
It’s the climb toward a higher standard of Brotherhood in North Carolina. A climb to unity. A climb to consistency. A climb to collective success.
E.L.E.V.A.T.E. is more than an acronym — it’s a framework to lift us forward:
Empower every Brother with tools to lead — from Sigma Beta to Life Member.
Lead by Example — with action, integrity, and transparency.
Engage those who’ve drifted. Reignite our shared purpose.
Visualize our growth with real-time data, dashboards, and clarity.
Advance with bold ideas, statewide programs, and leadership pipelines.
Thrive financially — with sustainable solutions for Brothers and chapters.
Execute our goals with discipline, structure, and results.
We’ve seen what happens when we move in different directions. Now, imagine what we can do when we climb together.
This is the challenge.
This is the call.
This is the climb.
Let’s E.L.E.V.A.T.E. North Carolina.
Together.
Empower
Equip every Brother with the tools to lead — from Sigma Beta to Life Member. Empowerment begins with access: access to clear processes and shared resources. Under my leadership, we will launch onboarding guides for new chapter officers, training webinars, and mentorship pairings across chapters. Every Brother should feel capable and confident to lead.
Lead
Lead by Example — through transparency, accountability, and consistent action. In North Carolina, we set the tone from the top. That means publishing a quarterly State Director’s Report to the Brotherhood, clearly outlining decisions, updates, and impact. It also means honoring timelines, setting expectations, and executing on commitments. We will reinforce our credibility and rebuild trust by doing exactly what we say we will do.
Engage
Reignite the flame and bring Brothers back to Sigma. Through a statewide Alumni Reengagement Campaign, we will invite inactive Brothers back into the fold. Personalized outreach, testimonials, and reactivation incentives will help show Brothers they are still needed and valued. Collegiate chapters will benefit too, with increased mentorship and alumni partnerships.
Visualize
Track progress in real time with dashboards and shared calendars. We will build a statewide digital dashboard that allows every chapter to track service hours and membership data statewide. Paired with a centralized, visual calendar, chapters will be able to collaborate on dates, avoid conflicts, and find synergy in shared programming. Transparency creates momentum.
Advance
Push forward with new ideas and modern tools. Each year, two chapters will be selected for state-supported Pilot Programs. These chapters will receive seed funding and marketing support. We will also form new partnerships with community organizations, corporate sponsors, and civic groups to bring fresh energy and opportunities to chapters across the state.
Thrive
Financial health is the foundation of growth. We will eliminate the barrier of dues by offering a state-managed payment plans for chapters without infrastructure. We will also launch the NC Life Member Savings Campaign — giving Brothers a more viable route to reach that next milestone. In addition, growth grants will be awarded to chapters that show membership growth.
Execute
Plans mean nothing without follow-through. That’s why every initiative under E.L.E.V.A.T.E. NC will have a defined scope, timeline, responsible lead, and success metric. From the State Conference to Sigma Beta programs. This ensures we build a culture of performance, not just promotion.
True progress doesn’t happen by accident — it’s engineered through vision, fueled by purpose, and executed with precision.
E.L.E.V.A.T.E. N.C. isn’t just a campaign — it’s a strategic framework designed to unite, empower, and lead North Carolina into a new era of Brotherhood.
This is a blueprint built on action, integrity, and results.
We’re not just aiming to maintain —
We’re building to transform.
North Carolina is the third largest state in membership, but size alone doesn’t make us strong. We’re ready to lead when every Brother is equipped to act with purpose, when we unify across alumni and collegiate lines, and when leadership becomes about execution, not just titles. The Brothers are ready. The energy is here. It’s time.
Disconnection. Disengagement. Missed opportunities to collaborate. Chapters working in isolation. Alumni and collegiate Brothers with overlapping goals but no shared system. These gaps cost us momentum and unity, and they cost us leadership seats beyond the state. But gaps can be closed, with clarity, communication, and collective action.
It looks like:
Live dashboards tracking chapter progress in real time.
Brothers leading chapter trainings, not just attending them.
Statewide communication systems that work when it matters.
Mentorship pipelines from Sigma Beta to Alumni life.
Dues assistance and savings plans that remove financial barriers.
Pilot programs funded and supported with full visibility.
That’s elevation — not just in words, but in measurable action.
We stop relying on personalities — and start building systems.
We train. We track. We transition. We thrive.
With E.L.E.V.A.T.E. N.C., we’re not just launching a campaign.
We’re building infrastructure that endures from year to year, from chapter to chapter, and from Brother to Brother.
That’s how you move from vision to legacy.
I am a proud husband, father, mentor, and servant leader — grounded in family and inspired by legacy. Initiated into Phi Beta Sigma in Spring 2004 through the Eta Chapter at North Carolina A&T State University, Rashad’s journey has always been about more than titles — it’s been about impact.
I share life and purpose my his wife, Soror Shanita Beard — a Spring 2004 initiate of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. through the Omega Nu Chapter and an active member of Psi Mu Zeta Chapter in Charlotte, NC. Together, they are raising two brilliant daughters who are already carrying the torch of service and sisterhood: Alyssa, a competitive dancer and proud Archonette, and Alaina, an energetic Amicette and performer in her own right.
My leadership path is one of consistency, credibility, and connection — bridging generations and regions of Sigma with purpose.
As an undergraduate, I have served as:
President & Step Master of Eta Chapter
North Carolina Collegiate Member At-Large
Architect of the 13-year GHOE Step Show Winning Streak — a testament to unity, discipline, and tradition.
As an alumni Brother, my impact only deepened:
Charter Member, First Vice President and President of Tau Epsilon Sigma Chapter
Increased Tau Epsilon Sigma Membership from 10 Charter Members to 125 in 4 years
Primary Advisor & Chartering Leader of Gamma Rho Pi Chapter at High Point University
Lead on the Reactivation of Pi Mu Chapter at Western Carolina University
Chairman of the Trailblazers Impact Foundation, Inc., where service, scholarship, and economic empowerment are at the forefront.
I currently serve as:
North Carolina Director of Collegiate Affairs
Southeastern Region PBSFCU Ambassador
2025 Sigma Emerging Leader Forum Graduate
My commitment to Sigma has earned him several honors, including:
Regional Director’s G.E.A.R. Award (2022)
North Carolina Alumni Brother of the Year (2023)
Alumni Brother of the Year, Tau Epsilon Sigma (2022 & 2023)
North Carolina State Director’s Award (2024)
From an undergraduate to alumni, Rashad has never stopped building — building chapters, reactivating Brothers, launching community programs, and investing in the next generation. His career in technology and engineering mirrors his service in the Fraternity: strategic, innovative, and future-focused.
But more than anything, Rashad is a connector. A Brother’s Brother. One who believes deeply that titles don’t build impact — people do.
Through every level of the Fraternity — Rashad has been there. Listening. Leading. Lifting.
Now, he’s ready to bring that same energy, excellence, and unity to the role of State Director.
Not to lead alone.
But to elevate… together.
